(g)astronomy is a study on fruit and vegetables and their change of identity through the photographic medium. I photograph these objects focusing on the primary aspects of their appearance - such as shapes, textures, colours. This approach allows me to detach the objects from their rational essence and function and opens the door to many new visual associations: three plums in the sun become flying asteroids; the purple blue skin of a fig recalls the Andromeda Galaxy; a moulding lemon is a new planet. The possibilities are endless.
